  32. You are losing the point here, Dave.  This call for action appears to be
  33. bipartisan (sp?).  There is a fundamental issue at stake here, harkening
  34. back to the First Amendment.

  36. Today, it's the Internet.  Tomorrow, somebody is telling you that you can't
  37. create certain image sequences because they are considered offensive, and
  38. when a self-rightious mob is behind it, you're protests are virtually useless.
  39. By organizing a protest now, we are in the majority where later on, we might
  40. only be a few weak voices in the maelstrom.

  42. Ever read 1984 by George Orwell?  Remember the last World War?  Nazi Germany,
  43. while a facinating study in social engineering to me, will remain the all-
  44. time greatest testiment to human stupidity.  Because we have not grown out
  45. of this capacity for ignorance and mob mentality, we must stand up to it
  46. whenever an organized forced might wish to plunge us once again into
  47. darkness.

  49. If this sounds hesterical and alarmist, then consider the numerous examples
  50. that history contains as proof.  Bureaucracy, like religion, rewards and
  51. encourages apathy and fatalism.  This is the politics of human nature.
